CLP Recertification Information
CLP Recertification Requirements
The CLP credential is granted for a 3-year period. CLPs are required to demonstrate continued competence in the field of licensing by earning 40 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits during the 3-year certification cycle to maintain their certification status. CPD credits are awarded in multiple categories shown in the table below.
Applicants for recertification are responsible for self-reporting the credits earned in eligible categories. Activities must be educational in nature and relevant to the CLP Examination Content Outline. Individuals must include the required detail for each CPD activity as is described in the candidate handbook. A list of Continuing Professional Development providers is available.

CLP Recertification Application
Access the application using your contact email address on file with CLP. Certificants may log and save CPD credits as they complete them in the recertification application. Certificants must complete all application steps, including payment, before CLP, Inc. will review the application.
Have you held the CLP credential and retired from full-time employment?
If so, the CLP-Emeritus designation may be right for you.
