CLP-Associate Information
The CLP-Associate (CLP-A) credential is designed for individuals who are either new to or are re-entering the licensing and technology transfer field. The CLP-A credential is tailored to individuals who are interested in demonstrating a commitment to the licensing profession but do not have substantial experience in the fields of licensing, technology transfer or intellectual property management, and are not yet eligible to pursue the CLP certification.

CLP-A Information
- Valid for 3 years.
- Individuals awarded the CLP-Associate designation listed in the CLP Credentials Registry.
- CLP-A application fee can be applied towards the CLP certification fee if applying within one year of CLP-A expiration.

CLP-A Requirements
Applicants must complete an Education/Training option AND a Professional Narrative Option.
Important Note: The Professional Narrative prompt and response template must be used for submission of the summary.
